World Class Hogmanay Line-up Announced

Organisers of Edinburgh‟s Hogmanay are pleased to announce today a world class line-up for the flagship Street Party on 31st December. The UK‟s Friendly Fires will be one of the bands to herald in 2012 at Edinburgh's Hogmanay top acts bringing in 2012 at the world famous celebrations include Friendly Fires, one of the hottest bands of the summer festivals, a special DJ set from the world-renowned Mark Ronson and Celtic superheroes Peatbog Faeries together with Scottish traditional music legends Capercaillie.

The ever outrageous Cuban Brothers are joined by Fringe sell-outs Frisky & Mannish completing the headline acts for four of the five stages along Princes Street. This fantastic line-up will be joined by special guests Kassidy, X-Factor’s Jade Richards and Radio 1 DJ’s Jaymo & Andy George and a sensational indie headline act for the Waverley Stage will be announced in early November.

Over 80,000 revellers from around the world are expected to enjoy the Street Party, Keilidh and Concert in the Gardens with live music and DJ‟s across a total of seven stages, with giant screens, outdoor bars and the countdown to the Midnight Moment. Two spectacular fireworks displays from either end of Princes Street, over the iconic Edinburgh Castle and the monuments on Calton Hill, will herald the start of 2012.

The Concert in the Gardens this year features Primal Scream who will be performing their seminal album Screamadelica and a set of their greatest hits, and who will be joined by special guests Bombay Bicycle Club, together with a support act to be announced. Tickets for the Enclosure have already sold out, and the remaining tickets for the Gardens are selling fast.
