Edinburgh's Hogmanay - Lineup details

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is the world’s biggest and best New Year’s party. The four day festival hosts an entertaining and engaging programme of festive celebrations, with activities suitable for the whole family. The festival highlight is the world-renowned New Year's Eve street party attracting up to 100,000 people every year.

To round off one of the best years of their 30-year anniversary as pop kings of the United Kingdom, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay are pleased to announce MADNESS as headliner for this year's Concert in the Gardens. The band will be returning for their first Edinburgh show in over 15 years.

Madness will be supported by UK’s pop sensation of the year The Noisettes, ending an incredible year for the band who have achieved international acclaim for their album ‘Wild Young Hearts,’ which delivered the summer hit singles ‘Never Forget You’ and ‘Don’t Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go).’ Edinburgh's Hogmanay is also pleased to welcome Scotland’s hottest new band Codeine Velvet Club to kick start the proceedings.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2010 has also announced that The Enemy will headline this year’s Street Party, accompanied by some of Scotland’s most interesting young
bands including the 5-piece Glasgow based Frightened Rabbit; the fantastic new Edinburgh band Stanley Odd featuring rap music that will appeal to jazz junkies, funk

fans and hip-hop headz alike and the ambitious and bold Edinburgh based 4-piece We Were Promised Jet Packs. The Waverley Stage will be hosted by special guest DJ, Vic Galloway of BBC Radio Scotland.

Also confirmed for the world’s greatest New Year celebrations are The Cuban Brothers and Glitter Banditz, who will present an evening of music and mayhem at The Mound Party Stage, hosted by special guest DJ The Great Calverto.

These stages will accompany the West End DJ Stage, which will have the world’s biggest dance floor jumping to the sounds of Scotland’s favourite DJ MYLO with special guest DJs Gary & Tom (Snow Patrol) and Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian).
