There's no more thrilling Big Band jazz than the music of Woody Herman's "Second Herd". Formed in 1947, it included the famous "Four Brothers" saxophone section of Stan Getz, Zoot Sims, Herbie Steward and Serge Chaloff. Herman was one of the clarinet greats of his age, so it's appropriate that one of the great jazz clarinettists of our time directs the band.
