This is rare opportunity to see the classic 1931 version of Mary Shelley’s tale of humanity, biology and scientific responsibility in all its cinematic glory. Boris Karloff’s monster and Director James Whale’s stark and eerie atmosphere provide a perfect backdrop for Professor Alistair Elfick and Jane Calvert’s discussion of synthetic biology, the fear of humans playing God and the moral responsibilities of science.
