Celebrate the arrival of 2013 by taking part in the incredible Loony Dook, the annual splash in the River Forth in the shadow of the world-famous Forth Rail Bridge. Join in the Fancy Dress Grand Parade and cheer-on the brave Loony Dookers as they make their way along Queensferry’s High Street to ‘dook’ in the freezing Forth under the gaze of the iconic Forth Bridges.
Over the past 26 years, thousands of people have taken the plunge at the Loony Dook generating huge amounts of sponsorship for charities across the UK. Spectators are welcome and there are plenty of vantage points to view this crazy event.
• Participants must register prior to the event to take part in the Loony Dook.
• There will be no on the day registration to participate.
• Fancy Dress encouraged
South Queensferry has a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants, all open on New Year’s Day.
