Edinburgh Festival Fringe

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts Festival in the world - featuring theatre, comedy, dance and physical theatre, music and musicals, children’s and street theatre, exhibitions and events, magic and mime, and just about anything in-between. This Festival more than any other transforms the streets of Edinburgh city centre in the month of August, with buskers, street theatre and live entertainment filling nearly every cobblestone.

The 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe is host to 31,000 performances, 2000 shows and 18,000 performers who will entertain more than 1.5 million people in 250 venues across the city.
