The twelve Edinburgh Festivals have long been known as a showcase of the best and most innovative of the world's culture. However like many leading organisations today, the festivals recognise that when it comes to digital innovation - using technology to test new ways of doing things - there is much more that they could do to fulfil their potential. With the unique scale and diversity of its year-round calendar, what better place to explore and test how digital technologies can be used to improve the festival experience, be that for audiences, artists, the festivals themselves or the wider city?
Festivals Edinburgh is the high-level organisation which works on behalf of Edinburgh's twelve major festivals and run a number of successful collaborative projects and initiative all which help sustain the Festivals and Edinburgh and Scotland’s pre-eminence as the world’s leading festival destination.
