THE NEW EDINBURGH FESTIVALS PASSPORT
Dates 2010: 6th to 30th August
The new Edinburgh Festivals passport is available to trade at net rates and is suitable to be packaged or sold as an added value offer to a Scottish holiday. It is an ideal FIT product but can also be considered for groups on a request basis.
To ensure the best possible programme, once festival programmes are finalised, the Edinburgh Festivals will hand select a bank of tickets across the 6 festivals to ensure a wide-ranging and exciting itinerary for each customer. The festivals will work with a festival critic to select the very best in art and performance and allocate itineraries to your clients ahead of public sale.
Rates : from £40 per passport
The passport includes tickets for 3 festival shows over a day (0900-midnight). These shows are pre-selected for the customer for time slots throughout the day and evening from the 6 participating summer festivals. Depending on the date in August the passport is purchased for it will include tickets for recommended events from the world renowned Jazz & Blues, International, Mela and Book Festivals. All will include the exciting and dynamic Fringe and Art Festivals.
The Tattoo is not included in the product, but the passport would fit ideally alongside an Edinburgh Military Tattoo package.

It’s the brand new, hassle free way for your clients to make the most of the Festivals and ideal for those on short itineraries.

HOW IT WORKS
· Passports are available on a freesale basis, no allocations required
· Post 01h July sales will still be possible but should be made on a request basis only
· Valid dates - from 6th to 30th August 2010
· Passports must be paid for in full prior to being available for use. Invoices will be issued on a monthly basis
· Box office will provide reporting to tour operators on their sales on a regular basis

BOOKING STAGES
1) On Booking, the operator should provide the following information:-
- Customer names & your customer booking reference
- Arrival date
- Number of passports
- Dates the passports are booked for
Clients may book more than one passport. The Festivals box office will allocate you a unique client reference number per booking. Clients travelling together should come under the same booking reference in order to receive the same itinerary.
2) A “Pre arrival” itinerary can be sent electronically. The customers themselves can register on the Edinburgh Festivals website to receive their programme information. By 15th July the information will be sent to them. This is an option for the client.
3) On arrival – Customers should go to the city centre box office to collect their Festival passport and tickets quoting their reference and showing id. Tour operators can collect passport documents from box office in advance if preferred OR be mailed them (mailing charge).
